About 12hours left for our very first Pick-Up Line Competition to draw to a close, the competition itself is getting exciting.
Our frequent users ‘redoptick‘ is probably the user that made the most number of pickup-lines (professional pickup artist?), who even made a 4 part series within those entries. Ah, always entertaining.

It wasn’t just a few days ago our twilight parody competition ended that we started another competition on voovees.com, this time it’s our first Pick-up Line Competition.
It was more intended to be a local competition that we’re running here in the always sunny Christchurch, New Zealand, the main cash prize being $100 in New Zealand [...]

You can now optionally add descriptions to the parodies that you’ve made during creation time, and have it displayed when everyone look at your parody

The results of our first ever 48H Parody Competition are out, congratulations to elmo, who single handedly took out both ‘most viewed’ award and ‘best lines’ awards, wow.

Quick note: now on the frontpage of voovees.com, additional information about a parody, namely of which original story a parody was made from, is displayed under the parody name, in the right side bar. Hopefully that helps a little with navigating around the site.

The first 48hours parody competition is now officially closed, thanks for all the participates that showed their wits in making the parodies.
We’ll soon tally up the data in the background, and make an announcement on the winners.

And our first online competition will be over. There are already a few quite funny ones posted up there, though I must say for now, scoring yourself a free snorgtee t-shirt (by winning) is still quite an easy thing to do. Check out the ‘latest parodies’ on the right side to see the entries.

but not alot of new submissions (the competition in question, is the 48 hours twilight parody competition currently running on voovees.com). I surely hope it is one of those occasions, that as the competition final time draws closer we’ll get a lots more people trying to squeeze-in their last minute entries in.
